 1. Introduction

Cricket is a popular outdoor sport played between two teams of 11 players each. It originated in England and is now widely played across countries like India, Australia, and England. The game is governed globally by the International Cricket Council (ICC). 


2. Objective of the Game

The main aim is to score more runs than the opponent team.

One team bats to score runs, while the other team bowls and fields to restrict runs.


3. Basic Equipment

4. Playground Structure

7. Basic Rules

Each team gets a turn to bat and bowl.

Run out

LBW (Leg Before Wicket)

1 run: Running between wickets

4 runs: Ball reaches boundary (ground)

6 runs: Ball crosses boundary (air)

Duck: Scoring zero runs

Century: 100 runs by a batsman
